- "WOSO" is our way of combining initials into one...made up of Walt and Sheila Owen. We will both be posting on this blog, with quite a range of text, photos, art on display. Here is who we are: Walt and Sheila are teachers. Walt teaches Middle School Science and Sheila teaches Kindergarten. It is amazing how similar those grade levels can be. To escape job stress, Walt and Sheila travel frequently, especially to London yearly. At home, they waste too much time watching TV, especially Top Gear, The Daily Show, The Soup, College Football, and Infomania. While the TV is on, they create as much art as possible-Walt draws, makes sock monsters, builds real space models, dabbles in caligraphy, and carves erasers into rubber stamps. Sheila scrapbooks, makes greeting cards, and has delusions that she will be able to someday compose something cute using mixed media. They have NO kids and five cats, which makes it easier to sleep in and selfishly do whatever they want. They also own a few dozen hissing cockroaches and a frog named "Sir Edward Stickytoes". Walt is an optimist and Sheila is a pessimist. Both are bleeding-heart liberals, and are "wending our way" through a great life.
